Singing through the mist.
Ah, the lovely meadowlark. It’s been years since I’ve seen any around here.
Hello Sha’Tara, the Meadowlark is a lovely bird. We enjoyed their continual song on our walk yesterday. Take care. Bob
I wonder if they’re what we call Skylarks? They kind of hover of the land at not a great height fluttering and tweeting constantly…
Hi Carol. They may be related. Meadowlarks have a lovely song and nest on the ground. They are often heard but not seen. Agriculture and development has really reduced their numbers in recent years. Bob
Ours nest on the ground and sound lovely. We only get them on the wild fells here where there is no agriculture as such (aside from grazing)
Doing a great job of singing through the mist! What a shot 😄
Thank you Julie! Meadowlarks have a lovely song. Take care.
