Put in half a good week. Storms are quick over the mountains. Plenty of rain, some half-inch hale stones, thunder, snow in the high country. Even if it heats up now it shouldn’t be enough to set the bush on fire.
The garden is cashing in. Lots of spuds and lettuce, kale and small squash, plenty of weeds, also, the best onions in years.
Not an inch of trail that ain’t slippery. Even the dogs are smart enough not to be caught by the high water.
The creeks are full with rain. Not much runoff last spring. Maybe this will make up for it.
