Lisa and I were into the mountains this morning. It’s about time we start scouting firewood. We spotted some dry pine and fir. I’m getting old so I assess the difficulty of cutting and getting the blocks into the back of the truck. In the mountains everything is either above or below you. When it comes to firewood it’s better to choose what is above.
Wild onion. A member of the lily family. They were everywhere.
Was tempted to pick a handful to put on perogies.
Lisa and I walked Willow up the mountain. We admired the wild flowers. It is funny when you get older what becomes interesting.
Wood lily. Anemone in the background.
