It’s nice when the peppers and tomatoes ripen together so a batch of salsa can be put down.
My good neighbour starts the pepper plants in February. I always request a few Thai Dragon seedlings. The peppers stand straight up and ripen in abundance in fall. They are the heat. Not as hot as the Scotch Bonnet (which I can’t grow) but way way hotter than a jalapeño or cayenne.
It’s a careful mix of tomatoes and various peppers. You never know exactly what you’re going to get. Every year is different and I’ve never had a bad batch.
