Some call it the wrong side of the tracks. I was never sure what that meant. On one side was the Columbia on the other the mountains. Never could figure what was better. Those tracks, though, they can define you. Some say you can’t walk the middle. I suppose that’s true. We were looked at as being from the wrong side. The good thing about growing up strong is it plugs your ears on occasion. Plus you get to eat different meat; sometimes you have to fight for it. Nothing’s easy but the laughs.
