Thunderclouds for most of the day. At 6 am the clouds were letting the sun through intermittently. The rain caused shafts of clear and coloured light. It was nice to wake up and watch the storm roll in. Most of the rain evaporated in the heat before it hit the ground. Tonight thunder rumbles low in the distance. The ridges dark with clouds, both ominous yet softly aglow where the setting sun lingers. The heat’s still upon us, but it’s good to have at least the threat of rain before bed.
