We followed the fence line through the burn looking for birds. A light rain fell. It is nice to be working days during the summer and have the evenings to spend together.
The mornings are feeling cooler. The garden is overgrown, except for the paths Willow has cut for her nightly run, while I shake my head in disbelief and pick raspberries and peas.
During our walk we spotted flickers and thrushes, red winged blackbirds and mountain bluebirds. Willow watched as intently as Lisa and I.
After the rain stopped a light breeze took over and kept the mosquitoes off. Very fine day.
