tree hunting

Low cloud all day. Lisa and I tried to get above it without luck. We kept our eyes out for a Christmas tree. We were well above the creek and walked an old trail down through the trees. I always have better luck finding trees walking uphill. It was tough searching. The light was flat and the trees were snow-covered. We picked a small blue spruce. Once the snow was shook off it looked pretty good.

The temperature has risen to around zero in the valley bottom. Higher temperatures often accompany low cloud. I prefer it clear and cold.
