Kept to the valley bottom. The moon  was due to rise early. It was nearly full, waning, but enough to wash out the stars. I hurried along out the Westside to evade, at least, a few of the town lights and passing cars. Orion was already holding steady. Majestic above the Fairmont Range.

Just before the moon came up I circled back down to the ice. The shoreline gets busier every time I look. Orion seems undisturbed by the activity.

In the above photo, Orion, Jupiter, Taurus  and Pleiades dominate the winter sky.
