Orion, clouds, poplar and aurora.

Set out hell bound, regardless of conditions, dogs in tow, excited, heading for the creek. Climbed as high as comfort would let me. The creek hissed through the bush way below. A couple owls hooted their disapproval at our arrival.

It was overcast with a few clouds poking through. I spotted Jupiter and Taurus. Pleiades was directly overhead. The moon was down. There was unexplained light to the north. With the clouds I couldn’t place it, but thought it could be northern lights trying to shine through.

Jupiter is about to go backwards. In another few weeks the creek will be more ice than water.
